For hairdressing sector a Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee was established by the European Commission in 1998. It is a forum where the discussion takes place within the European Union on the development of the European hairdressing industry.

Coiffure EU is for the employers' interest the representative social partner in the sectoral Social Dialogue personal services. For the employees' side the social partner is Uni Hair & Beauty, www.uniglobalunion.org
