We make a distinction between active members and associate members. Active members are the most representative national employers' organisations of hairdressers based in countries that are members or candidate members for the European Union and/or the EFTA. Only the active members are members as defined by law. Associate members are national employers' organisations of hairdressers based in European countries who prefer a less active status.
Since 2016 the membership fee has been based on the number of inhabitants and the Gross National Product.
